Play on the final day of the first Test between India and Bangladesh is likely to commence at 1330 IST.
The match could not resume on Tuesday morning as heavy overnight rain caused waterlogging at several areas on the ground.
India, overnight 44 for 2 in their second innings, an overall lead of 193 runs, were looking to score some quick runs and make Bangladesh bat, but the wet conditions forced umpires Billy Doctrove and Daryl Harper to delay the start.
After three inspections of the ground, the last at 1200 IST, the umpires were still not prepared to call play, which was scheduled to start at 0930 IST to make up for the overs lost due to rain over the last four days, as the outfield is still wet and could result in players getting injured while fielding.
They said there would be another inspection at 1300 IST.
With bright sunshine and a cool breeze blowing the chances of the match resuming look good.
Dinesh Karthick and Sachin Tendulkar were on the crease on 15 and 24 respectively when the stumps were drawn on the fourth day.
