A two-member delegation of the Pakistan Cricket Board will leave next week for India to inspect the venues and other arrangements for the team's tour across the border in November-December this year.

Zakir Khan, the director of cricket operations in the board and Sohail Khan, a senior police official and security expert with the Interior ministry, will visit the eight venues where Pakistan is scheduled to play Tests and one-day internationals.

"We will be inspecting all the arrangements and facilities at the chosen venues. This is a routine visit which happens every time we go to India," Zakir said.

The last time Pakistan toured India in 2005, Zakir and Sohail had gone on a similar inspection visit.

When the team toured India, many players and manager Saleem Altaf complained about the scheduling of matches and the hectic long travel between venues.

Pakistan is due to play its Test matches in Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore while the one-day venues include some of the far-flung venues including Cuttack and Guwahati.

Meanwhile, Pakistan will also host a high-powered security delegation from South Africa on Thursday.

Initially the PCB had ruled out any such visit and the South African board itself said it would depend on feedback from the Australians who sent a delegation to Pakistan earlier for feedback.

However, the stand changed and a PCB official admitted that the South Africans had decided to send their delegation after a series of bomb blasts in some cities.

The Proteas have already forced the PCB to cancel scheduling of matches in Peshawar or Rawalpindi.
