Pakistan crushed Bangladesh by 152 runs in the first One-day International at the Gaddafi stadium, Lahore on Tuesday.

The target was reduced to 282 in 39 overs under Duckworth Lewis method after power interruptions.

Sohail Tanveer took the opening three wickets to reduce Bangladesh to 49 for three in the 12th over and the visitors never recovered from that.

Bangladesh made only 129 in 29.5 overs with Mashrafe Mortaza, the last man to be dismissed, top-scoring with 25. Shahid Afridi also chipped in with three wickets.

Earlier, Mohammad Yousuf scored his second successive hundred to power Pakistan to a commanding 322 for five.

Yousuf, Pakistan's most experienced player walked into bat with his team struggling 70 for three after 18 overs.

He responded with a flawless innings of 108 from 103 balls with 11 boundaries, his 15th one-day century. Yousuf had also scored a hundred in his last game against Zimbabwe in January this year.

Yousuf put on 145 from 127 balls for the fourth wicket with skipper, Shoaib Malik (85). a fourth-wicket record against Bangladesh, and providing a strong platform for the final run spree when 102 came from the final 10 overs.

He reached his century in the 48th over from 99 balls by tickling spinner Abdur Razzak to square for an easy single to the roar of the big crowd.

Bangladesh let the home side slip away to a big total after taking wickets and restricting the run rate in the first half of the innings.

Mashrafe Mortaza and Farhad Reza bowled intelligently with the new ball to dismiss Nasir Jamshed (20), Younis Khan (1) and Salman Butt (33) before they were able to settle down.

Yousuf and Malik than displayed a mixture of sweetly timed strokes and some brutal hits.

Malik, who scored his 26th half-century, hit seven fours in his innings spanning 77 balls. He was eventually caught at long-off by Shahriar Nafees trying to hit Razzak out of the ground.

Misbah-ul-Haq hit the halpless Mahmudullah for two successive sixes in a quick-fire 38 from 27 balls before he was caught behind off Mortaza while flamboyant all-rounder Shahid Afridi entertained the crowd with a savage 27 from 11 balls that included two sixes and two fours.
