Following are the statistical highlights of the first one-day international between India and Australia in Brisbane on Sunday.

# The Brisbane ODI was the first game between India and Australia in Australia which has failed to produce a result. India have won 6 and Australia 24 out of the 31 matches played in Australia.

# Sachin Tendulkar's dismissal as 'hit-wicket' was his first such in international cricket. He is only the third Indian player to be dismissed in this way -- the first two being Nayan Mongia off Pakistan's Wasim Akram at Sharjah in 1995 and Anil Kumble off New Zealand's Andre Adams at Wellington in 2003.

# Brett Lee (5 for 27) registered his best bowling performance at Brisbane, surpassing his previous best of 2 for 53 against England on 19.1.2007.

# Lee's bowling figures are now the best by an Australian bowler against India at Brisbane, bettering Tom Moody's 3 for 56 on 1.3.1992.

# Lee is the only Australian bowler to claim three five-wicket hauls against India. No one else from Australia has bagged five wickets in an innings more than once against India.

# Lee, with three instances of five-wicket in an innings against India has emulated Pakistan's Aaqib Javed's tally of three five-wicket hauls against India.

# Lee now shares an Australian record for most instances (7) of five wickets in an innings with Glenn McGrath for most five-wicket hauls. Lee's tally of seven five-wicket hauls is exceeded only by Pakistan's Waqar Younis (13) and Sri Lanka's Muttiah Muralitharan (8).

# Lee became the first Australian and the fourth bowler to bag five wickets in an innings at Brisbane joining Ian Bishop (WI) - 5 for 25 against Pakistan on January 9, 1993, Shoaib Akhtar (Pakistan) - 5 for 25 against Australia on June 19, 2002 and Andy Cummins (WI) - 5 for 31 against India on 11.1.1992.

# The previous best figures by an Australian at Brisbane were 4 for 24 by Glenn McGrath against South Africa on 9.1.1994.

# Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Irfan Pathan's 45-run stand is India's best partnership for the seventh wicket at Brisbane, surpassing the 17 between Sanjay Manjrekar and Kiran More in 1991-92.

# Dhoni and Harbhajan Singh put on 42 runs for the eighth wicket, which is India's highest for this wicket against Australia, eclipsing the 40 (unbroken) between Chetan Sharma and Manoj Prabhakar at Bangalore in 1989-90 and 40 between Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh at Centurion Park in 2002-03.

# Ponting registered his third duck against India and his 17th in ODIs. Only Adam Gilchrist has registered more ducks (18) than Ponting for Australia in ODIs.
