In the 13th match of ICL 50s being played at Lahiri Resorts, Hyderabad Heroes defeated Mumbai Champs by 80 runs to score their first win.

Stand-in-skipper of Heroes, Shashank Nag won the toss and elected to bat. Nag was later declared man of the match alongside Dheeraj Jadhav of Champs.

The Heroes scored at a brisk pace inspite of loosing its first wicket in the second over in the name of PS Niranjan.  Nag scored 63 runs of 64 balls, in a knock which included 11 boundaries. The middle order chipped in pretty well as both the batsmen, Vinay Kumar and Ibrahim Khaleel scored half centuries.

The Heroes ended their innings on 276 for 8 in their quota of 50 overs. The Champs bowlers proved to be too expensive as both their strike bowlers Anupam Sanklecha and Suyash Burkul gave away 72 runs and took 3 wickets each.

In reply, the Champs continued to show their poor run in the tournament. Champs never managed to get going and lost wickets at regular intervals. The only batsman who stood out for the Champs was Dheeraj Jadhav who scored a brilliant 101 runs of 113 balls including 12 boundaries and was not out till the end.

The other batsman who gave support to Dheeraj was Ranjeet Khirid who made 31 runs of 47 balls including 2 fours and 1 six. Kaushik Reddy of Heroes took three wickets for 34 runs in his 7.4 overs.

However, in Wednesday's match, Heroes proved to be a better team and completely outplayed the Champs and also picked up a bonus point.
