Australia elect to bat against India

Australia captain Ricky Ponting won the toss and elected to bat first in their tri-series one-day international against India at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday.

Australia made one change to the side that beat Sri Lanka in Melbourne on Friday with fast bowler Brett Lee replacing left-arm paceman Mitchell Johnson.

India made two changes to their side that beat Sri Lanka in Adelaide last week with opener Virender Sehwag recalled for Praveen Kumar and S Sreesanth replacing Munaf Patel.

Teams:

Australia: Ricky Ponting (captain), Adam Gilchrist, Matthew Hayden, Michael Clarke, Mike Hussey, James Hopes, Andrew Symonds, Brad Hogg, Brett Lee, Nathan Bracken, Stuart Clark.

India: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain), Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, Robin Uthappa, Rohit Sharma, Irfan Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, Ishant Sharma, S Sreesanth.
