India won the toss and elected to bat in the third Test against Australia at the WACA in Perth on Wednesday.

Both teams made two changes to the sides that played in the first two Tests in Melbourne and Sydney, each won by Australia.

Opening batsman Chris Rogers will make his Test debut for Australia after replacing the injured Matthew Hayden while fast bowler Shaun Tait will earn his first cap in more than two years as a replacement for Brad Hogg.

India recalled dashing opener Virender Sehwag for Yuvraj Singh and dropped spinner Harbhajan Singh for paceman Irfan Pathan.

Australia: Ricky Ponting (captain), Adam Gilchrist, Phil Jaques, Chris Rogers, Mike Hussey, Michael Clarke, Andrew Symonds, Brett Lee, Mitchell Johnson, Stuart Clark, Shaun Tait.

India: Anil Kumble (captain), Wasim Jaffer, Virender Sehwag, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, VVS Laxman, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Irfan Pathan, RP Singh, Ishant Sharma, Dinesh Karthik.
