# Harbhajan and Kumble put on 107 runs for the eighth wicket. The pair became the first to be associated in a hundred run partnership for this wicket-position against Australia at Adelaide, bettering the 96-run partnership between Eddie Paynter and Hedley Verity for England in 1932-33.

# Overall, the aforesaid stand is India's third best against Australia - the top two being 129 between Sachin Tendulkar and Harbhajan Singh at Sydney in 2007-08 and 127 between Syed Kirmani and Karsan Ghavri at Mumbai in 1979-80.

# Of the three eighth wicket partnerships of 100-plus for India against Australia, Harbhajan figures in two.
