India win toss, elect to bat

India [ Images ] captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni [ Images ] won the toss and elected to bat in the fourth and final Test against Australia [ Images ] in Nagpur on Thursday.

Tamil Nadu opener Murali Vijay [ Images ] was handed his Test debut. He replaces Gautam Gambhir [ Images ], who was handed a one-Test ban for elbowing Shane Watson [ Images ] during the third Test in Delhi [ Images ].

Harbhajan Singh [ Images ], who missed the last match due to injury, made it back to the team in place of the retired Anil Kumble [ Images ].

This will be Sourav Ganguly's [ Images ] final Test, while VVS Laxman [ Images ] is playing his 100th.

Australia also opted for two spinners in debutant Jason Krejza [ Images ] and Cameron White [ Images ], the former coming in for pacer Stuart Clark.

The match is being played at the newly-constructed stadium in Jamtha, 16 kms away from the city.

India lead the series 1-0 after the 320-run victory in the second Test in Mohali.
