The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has said it will join the government headed by the Congress at the Center.

"We will give inside support to the Congress, as we had entered into a pre-poll alliance with it. For the sake of the stability of the government at Centre, it is necessary for us to participate in it," JMM general secretary Mukti Nath Upadhaya said.

He called upon all secular minded parties to join the Congress-led Government.

Upadhaya said the party has no problem in joining the government under the leadership of Congress President Sonia Gandhi, as it was only the JMM and the Rashtriya Janata Dal which had from the outsetĀ agreed that Gandhi would be the Prime Ministerial candidate if the secular alliance came to power.

He said the election results across the country was a clear verdict against the policies of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee-led NDA government.

The Congress has at the time of this report built leads in 12 out of the 14 constituencies in the state, while the BJP and the Left front lead in one apiece.
