Sarika's comeback

Sarika Kamal Haasan has found a new calling.
And no, it's not a filmi comeback!
Sarika is now playing teacher at the School of Fashion Technology, Pune, where she has outlined a course for film costumes and design in cinema.
Impressed by this branch of Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Sanstha's Fashion Technology Institute where she was chief guest at a seminar, the actress was approached by the head of the institute, to teach their students.
Initially, the seminars will be held over long weekends. Subsequently, they may become an integral part of the syllabi, with Sarika spending more time in Pune.
Brimming with confidence after her costumes in Hey! Ram were appreciated, the once-hesitant Sarika is now excited about her current venture.
"There was a time when heroines were dressed in pink saris and heavy make-up. Today more stress needs to be paid to clothes that make the heroines look more than mere glamour dolls. They ought to look like real people, where the clothes reflect the artiste, her character and her inner beauty."
Appreciation also pours in from close quarters. Says friend and phtographer Gautam Rajadhyaksha, "From the long fax that she sent me of the ideas and subjects she would like to cover on the film costumes and designing course, I think she is doing a fabulously detailed job!"
Looks like this is one role that is tailormade for her!
