Confederation of Indian Industry will renew its MoU with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade on June 25 in Beijing to continue with the sustainable institutional cooperation between the business communities of both countries.

The MoU, to be renewed by CCPIT chairman Wan Jifel and CII president Anand Mahindra, aims to foster mutual understanding and friendship between the businesses of both countries and promote economic relations like trade, investment and technological cooperation, CII said in a release on Saturday.

The renewal of the MoU also marks the visit of the CII CEOs delegation to China, coinciding with Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's visit to the country.

To consolidate the working relationship with CII, CCPIT will support several events, including the website launch of the 'India-China Economic Cooperation' on June 23.

It will also support shows like 'Made in India' and 'Hi-Tech', to be held in Beijing in October this year.

The CCPIT, which represents the economic and trade sectors of China, is the largest Chinese institution for the promotion of foreign trade.
