Written and produced by mother Vrinda Rai, Dil Ka Rishtaa was a complete Ash vehicle.

But Ash wasn’t as convincing as one would have liked her to be.

Her character Tia was a woman in love with her husband Priyanshu. She loses her husband and her memory, and is indebted to a man who saves her life. From there on, her performance worsens.

Her male co-stars won more acclaim than the actress did in this film.

Some filmmakers like Ravi Chopra have said Ash is inconsistent in her performances.
