Will Kal Ho Naa Ho appeal to the NRI audiences?

Yes. The crucial thing in 'NRI' is the 'I'. They are Indians living abroad and they try to keep their culture alive. The film is not designed especially for them, but it is about NRIs. They will definitely relate to it.

NRI audiences are savvier about what is happening in the West than the average Indian, so they will be satisfied with Karan [Johar]'s details in the film. They won't say 'Arre, aisa thodi hota hai [It doesn't happen like this]!' They will recognise the world of a stockbroker and a young girl in New York.
