2 killed in industrial accident

At least two workers were killed and several others injured in an accident in the Boisar industrial estate, Thane, in Maharashtra.

Police officials said at around 1230 hours a reactor in the Nutech company on plot no 92 exploded, causing the roof to cave in.

Of the 20 who were buried under, 12 were removed. Two of them died in hospital.

The district collector and other senior officials are on the scene, directing operations to rescue eight others who are still under the debris.
