Srikrishna panel report will be submitted in the monsoon session: MundeThe much-awaited Srikrishna Commission report, which probed the 1992-93 communal riots in Bombay, would be tabled "as it is" in both Houses of the legislature before the end of the monsoon session, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Gopinath Munde assured the legislative council today. The demand to hold a discussion on the report was raised by the Janata Dal's Vyankappa Patki under Rule 93. He said various types of rumours are making rounds causing concern among the citizens. He urged Council Chairman N S Pharande to direct the state government to make a statement on the issue. Pharande said the issue could not be discussed under Rule 93. Munde, who was present in the House, stood up and said there was no need to suspect the government's motives about tabling the report. He reiterated that the report would be tabled in the monsoon session itself and later a decision would be taken to hold discussion on the issue. UNI
