Khairnar to join CIDCO

Bombay's well-known demolition man G R Khairnar, who retired from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation recently, will join the City Industrial and Development Corporation.

Khairnar will be joining CIDCO as officer on special duty, in-charge of the corporation's security and as controller of unauthorised construction department, a CIDCO release said in Bombay on Friday night.

Khairnar will join the corporation from January one, 2001, it said.

CIDCO is the planning and development agency for the area of New Bombay since 1970.
