6 killed, 46 injured in bus-truck collision

Six persons, including three women, were killed and forty-six others injured when a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation bus collided head-on with a truck in Dhule district on Thursday.

The bus on its way from Amalner to Surat collided with the truck near Kusumba in Dhule district, police said. The five seriously injured passengers have been admitted to Dhule civil hospital.

The deceased including a couple were identified as Subhash Devpurkar (50), Sakina Pinjari (25), Dharmesh Mali (12), Alishanbabu Mansuri (21), Fakira Vedait (65) and Parvatibai Vedait (50), police added.
