Union Minister of State for Railways, Digvijay Singh, on Saturday ruled out the possibility of sabotage behind Friday's train mishap, which has so far claimed 57 lives.
Asked about the cause of the mishap, Singh said, "I am not a technical person to say what exactly was the reason for the mishap". He said Railway Safety commissioner P K Senkumar would conduct an inquiry.
He announced a compensation of Rs 400000 for each casualty, Rs 15000 for serious injuries and Rs 5000 for minor injuries.
