Earlier on Saturday, a number of students were beaten up by a BSF jawan, based in a camp in Nintitai village under Suti police station area, when he fell off from his bicycle after colliding with them.

After complaining to their teacher, the students went to the BSF camp and demanded an apology.

This angered the jawans, who opened fire injuring three students, one critically, police said.
