Human Resource Development Minister Murli Manohar Joshi, who withdrew his resignation sent to Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the wake of a Rae Bareli court deciding to frame charges against him in the Babri Masjid demolition case, resumed work on Wednesday.

Joshi decided to withdraw his resignation after Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's refusal to accept it.

Talking to reporters at his Shastri Bhavan office, Joshi made light of the Congress threat to boycott him in Parliament.

"Congress has a boycott tradition and it knows nothing except boycotting. Sometimes it boycotts vice-president or
creates commotion in Parliament. They have no other issue," he said.

Joshi will embark on a visit to Paris on Thursday to attend the UNESCO General Assembly.

Asked whether his resignation had dented the party's image, he shot back saying it was an exaggeration by the media.
