The Supreme Court on Friday issued notices to the Central Bureau of Investigation, the Centre and Bihar government on a public interest litigation seeking an independent probe into allegations of corruption in the Rs 30,000 crore Golden Quadrilateral Project by Satyendra Dubey

Dubey, a manager of the project, was gunned down in Gaya on November 27. Investigating, The Indian Express found that he had written to the PMO about wrongdoings in the prime minister's pet project.

The court also issued notice on the issue of enacting a 'whistleblower' act to bring in accountability into government projects.
