After 15 years, Rabri to move out of 1 Anne Marg

It's official now. After spending 15 years at 1 Anne Marg, former chief minister Rabri Devi has been served a notice to vacate the bungalow for Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

She has been allotted 10 Circular Road, assigned to her brother Sadhu Yadav during the RJD reign.

"10, Circular Road has been allotted to Rabri Devi," Secretary Building Construction department, Arun Kumar Singh said.

However, no time limit has been set for the former CM to shift to her new dwelling, Singh said, adding that she has been asked to do so at the 'earliest'.

10, Circular Road bungalow had been renamed by  Sadhu Yadav as '10 Janpath', the address of Congress President Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi.

RJD president and former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad has also been asked to vacate his 10 Desratna Marg bungalow (which had a common pathway connecting with the 1 Anne Marg) and stay with Rabri in the 10 Circular Road bungalow.

While Nitish Kumar will move into 1 Anne Marg that had become the symbol of power during 15 years of RJD rule his close friend and now state Human Resources Development minister Brishen Patel will occupy Lalu's.

Sheds for hundreds of cows, stable for horses, ponds for fish and a swimming pool were constructed in the house during Lalu's occupation.

Bungalows for other ministers of Nitish Kumar cabinet have also been allotted, the official said.

Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi will occupy 1 Polo Road bungalow.

Among others, state NDA Convenor and road construction and tourism minister in the new government, Nand Kishore Yadav, will enter 6 Strand Road bungalow occupied by law and energy minister in Rabri Devi cabinet, Shakeel Ahmad Khan.
