Bharatiya Janata Party president Rajnath Singh's 35-day nationwide Bharat Suraksha Yatra will enter Chhattisgarh on Saturday.

"Singh's yatra will be in Chhattisgarh for three days from Saturday and will cover a distance of 214 km," BJP state General Secretary Saroj Pandey told PTI on Friday.

Singh, who started his yatra from Bhubaneshwar in Orissa on Thursday, will cover two districts -- Raigarh and Jashpur -- in the state before entering into Jharkhand, Pandey said.

Party workers and senior leaders, including Chief Minister Raman Singh and BJP state president Shiv Pratap Singh, will accord him a grand welcome at various places, including the entry point of Hamirpur, she said.

Meanwhile, the Congress, the main opposition party, said it would protest against Singh's yatra in the state by showing black flags to BJP president.

"It is not Bharat Surakshya Yatra but Bharatiya Janata Party Surakshya Yatra. "Singh had taken out the yatra to save his party presidentship and it has got nothing to do with the security of the country. Hence it will be opposed all over Chhattisgarh," state PCC president Charan Das Mahant alleged at Raigarh.
