6 killed, 8 injured in Bombay road accident

Six persons, including three teenaged girls and two women, were killed and eight others injured seriously in a tempo accident on Monday morning in Dadar, central Bombay .

The dead have been identified as Shubha Pereira, her two daughters -- Shubhangi and Iliyaraja -- Puja Bagde, her daughter Rani, and Laxman Janu.

The injured have been admitted to different hospitals and the tempo driver, who lost control of the vehicle causing it to go over a footpath, has been arrested.
