Tendulkar surpasses Wadekar to become the top scorer

375 - India's total - The highest they have scored on the opening day of a Test match. The previous highest was 372 for seven against South Africa at Bloemfontein in 2001-02.

335 - Tendulkar's aggregate in the series - The most number of runs scored by any Indian batsman in a series on New Zealand soil. Tendulkar surpassed Ajit Wadekar's tally of 328 runs (in 1967-68).

185 - Runs scored by Indian batsmen in the third session - in 35 overs at a rate of 5.28 runs per over.

50 - The wicket of Zaheer Khan gave Iain O'Brien his 50th wicket in his 17th Test. He became the 31st New Zealand bowler to do so.

14 - Number of maiden overs bowled by New Zealand bowlers. Dravid played seven of them.

4 - Tendulkar has now scored at least a fifty in four consecutive Tests against New Zealand.
