Statistical highlights of the fourth One-Day International between India and Sri Lanka, played at the Eden Gardens, in Kolkata, on Thursday.

# India have won five bilateral ODI series in a row against Sri Lanka -- 6-1 in India in 2005-06, 2-1 in India in 2006-07, 3-2 in Sri Lanka in 2008-09, 4-1 in Sri Lanka in 2008-09 and 3-1 in India in 2009-10.

# Virat Kohli recorded his maiden hundred (107 off 114 balls) in ODIs, surpassing an unbeaten 79 against West Indies at Johannesburg on September 30, 2009.

# For the first time in his brief ODI career, Kohli has recorded back to back fifty-plus innings. In his previous innings, he had posted 54 against Sri Lanka at Nagpur on December 18, 2009.

# Kohli, with a hundred at 21 years 49 days, is the second youngest Indian to register a century. Vinod Kambli had registered 100 not out on his 21st birthday against England at Jaipur on January 18, 1993.

# Gambhir, with his match-winning knock of 150 not out off 137 balls, has emulated his highest ODI score. This innings is his best on Indian soil. He had first recorded 150 against Sri Lanka at Colombo RPS.

# Gambhir's fourth century against Sri Lanka is his seventh in ODIs.

# Gambhir has taken 87 innings to complete 3000 runs -- the third fastest after Navjot Singh Sidhu (79) and Sourav Ganguly (82).

# Gambhir's brilliant knock of 150 not out is the second highest for India in a successful run-chase -- the highest being Mahendra Singh Dhoni's 183 not out against Sri Lanka at Jaipur on October 31, 2005.

# Gambhir joined Hamilton Masakadza (Zimbabwe) and Sachin Tendulkar (India), to have recorded two innings of 150 this year.

# Kohli and Gambhir shared a 224-run stand for the third wicket, which is a record for any wicket at Eden Gardens, eclipsing the 189 (unbroken) between Graeme Smith and Andrew Hall for South Africa against India on November 25, 2005.

# The partnership is India's highest for the third wicket against Sri Lanka, eclipsing the 221 between Yuvraj Singh and Virender Sehwag at Colombo RPS on February 3, 2009.

# Allan Border and Dean Jones had also made 224 runs for the third wicket without being separated against Sri Lanka at Adelaide on January 28, 1985.

# Upul Tharanga recorded his seventh century in ODIs -- his first against India. He has posted six centuries on foreign soil.

# Tharanga became the first Sri Lankan to register a century at Eden Gardens. After making two centuries in successive innings in the ICC Champions Trophy 2006-07 -- 105 against Bangladesh at Mohali and 110 against Zimbabwe at Ahmedabad, he has posted his first century in three years.

# Kumar Sangakkara and Tharanga put on 126 runs, Sri Lanka's highest stand for the third wicket at Eden Gardens, the 400th stand of 100 or more for the third wicket in ODIs.

# Sangakkara's 51st fifty in ODIs is his ninth against India.

# Three centuries in the same ODI is a feat recorded in India for the third time. The first two instances being the India-Australia encounter at Jaipur on September 7, 1986 followed by India-Zimbabwe game at Cuttack on April 9, 1998.

# Sri Lanka (315 for six) became the first team to record two totals of 300-plus at Eden Gardens, their first instance being the 309 against Pakistan on May 27, 1997.

# Sri Lanka also became the first nation to register a total of 300 or more against India at Eden Gardens.

# Lasith Malinga is without a wicket in the series, conceding 131 runs in two ODIs.

# For the fifth time in his ODI career, Malinga (9.1-0-75-0) has conceded 75 runs or more in an innings, including three instances against India. In terms of runs, his worst figures are 10-0-85-1 against New Zealand at Johannesburg on September 27, 2009.

# India (317 for three) have established a record for the highest total at Eden Gardens. This score is their highest successful run-chase against Sri Lanka.

# For the first time, both the teams at Eden Gardens, have recorded 300-plus totals and the match aggregate of 632 for nine wickets is the highest at this venue.
