Kemp snaps ICL ties

South Africa's Justin Kemp has snapped ties with the rebel Indian Cricket League and is set to return to mainstream domestic cricket, according to media reports in Johannesburg.

Another 'rebel' player, Andrew Hall, has also approached the board, inquiring about a possible return to the mainstream, the reports added.

Cricket South Africa CEO Gerald Majola was quoted in local media as saying that Kemp played his last ICL match in December and would be ready for a return to the CSA fold after a six-month cooling off period.

"He played his last ICL cricket in December, so his six-month cooling off period will be completed by the time we start the new season," Majola told the Sunday Times.

Apart from Kemp, other 'rebel' South African players include Andrew Hall, Johan van der Wath, Dale Benkenstein and Nantie Hayward.

CSA has decided to welcome all rebel players once they severe ties with the unauthorised Indian league.
