Criticised by former cricketers for his tactical blunders against England, Mahendra Singh Dhoni faced the wrath of angry fans as he was booed after India's 12-run defeat to South Africa in their final Twenty20 World Cup Super Eight match in Nottingham.
Dhoni was booed at the presentation ceremony after the match but the beleaguered Indian captain said it didn't affect him.
"It's not the first time I have been booed. When we lost in 2007 World Cup (against New Zealand), mera antim sanskar (my last rites) was also done. But I don't feel bad. It shows the expectation levels of fans," said Dhoni, who looked unruffled by the incident.
"I was told by a senior a few years ago. He said if somebody is appreciating you, don't hit seventh heaven. If you fall on floor, it wouldn't be good for you. So adopt a central path. I try to do so," Dhoni added.
