The International Cricket Council conducted a dope test on the Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi after his team won the Twenty20 World Cup title defeating Sri Lanka in the final at Lord's.
Afridi, who was man-of-the-match in Pakistan's eight-wicket victory over their sub-continental rivals in Sunday night's summit clash, was called for the surprise test by ICC officials after the match.
The dope test is believed to be part of ICC's routine practice under which any cricketer could be called for such a test during ICC events.
