- Scorecard

768 - Runs scored by Jesse Ryder in his Test career, the maximum by a Kiwi batsman after hisĀ first eight Tests. Ryder surpassed Mark Greatbatch's tally of 739 runs.

81 - Number of boundaries struck in New Zealand's innings (including two sixes). New Zealand have hit more only once (87 v South Africa at Auckland in 2003-04). New Zealand also had 81 boundaries against Pakistan at Hamilton in 2003-04.

50 - The wicket of Daniel Vettori was the 50th for Ishant Sharma in his 16th Test. At 20 years 206 days he is the second youngest to take 50 wickets in Test matches. Interestingly, his victim Vettori holds the record of being the youngest to accomplish the feat, at 19 years 136 days. Harbhajan Singh held the previous Indian record in this regard.

22 - Number of times India have allowed opponents to score 600 or more in an innings. Only England have conceded more -- 31. But England have also played 455 more Tests than India!

3 - Jesse Ryder became only the third Kiwi batsman to score a double century against India after Graham Dowling (239 at Christchurch in 1967-68) and Bert Sutcliffe (230 not out at Delhi in 1955-56).
