Robin Singh to coach Mumbai Indians

Robin SinghFormer India all-rounder Robin Singh was on appointed as the new chief coach of the Mumbai Indians outfit for the 2009-10 season while ex-pacer Paras Mhambrey has been named his deputy.

South African Jonty Rhodes would continue his association with the Indian Premier League team as a fielding coach, an MI media release said on Tuesday.

Former South Africa captain Shaun Pollock, who has been an integral part of the squad for the last two years, would also continue to contribute his vast cricketing knowledge and international experience for its benefit, the release stated.

The other members of the support staff of Mumbai Indians include Praveen Amre, Nitin Patel, Dhananjay, Ramji Srinivasan and Donald Shugg.

Mumbai Indians captain, Sachin Tendulkar will participate in a five-day camp, starting in Mumbai on Tuesday.
