The only national team competing in a tournament meant for domestic sides, Trinidad and Tobago's batting sensation Adrian Barath says the secret of his side's stupendous unbeaten run in the Champions League [ Images ] Twenty20 [ Images ] is the unity among the players.

"This unit has been playing together for a number of years. We have big players like Dwayne Bravo [ Images ], Daren Ganga [ Images ] and Kieron Pollard. These guys are International players and our captain has good leadership qualities.

"I think unity is the best way forward," the 19-year-old debutant told reporters after Trinidad and Tobago beat Diamond Eagles to enter the semi-finals.

"It does not make sense if you have big players and no unity. Everyone has to support the other. I think that is the key," he said.

Barath, who made a superb 63 in the match, said he was happy with his performance.

"It is an excellent feeling. This is my first game in India. I have been watching the Indian Premier League [ Images ]. I'm excited to come to the Champions League and have a performance like this. I feel good about myself and my ability," he said.
