India - Australia ODI career stats

Last updated on: October 23, 2009 16:53 IST

India and Australia clash in a seven-match One-Day International series, beginning on October 25, at Vadodara.

The last time the teams met in the sub-continent, the Aussies emerged 4-2 winners, with one match being washed out.

Though some key players from that side -- like Adam Gilchrist, Matthew Hayden -- have since retired, the Aussie, after a brief slump, have come back strong, winning ten of their last 12 ODIs [that includes the abandoned game against India], including the ICC Champions Trophy.

India have not won a bilateral series against Australia at home in 22 years [since 1987], and Mahendra Singh Dhoni's men, who became the first Indian side to win a tri-series in Australia last year, will be keen to end a sequence of defeats at home.
