Champions Trophy Stats: New Zealand vs South Africa

Following are the statistical highlights of the Champions Trophy match between New Zealand and South Africa played in Centurion.

# AB de Villiers's unbeaten 70 is his highest knock in the ICC Champions Trophy - his second fifty in this tournament. His previous highest was 54 against Sri Lanka at Ahmedabad on October 24, 2006.

AB de Villiers# Wayne Parnell became the third South African after Makhaya Ntini and Jacques Kallis to take five wickets in an innings in the ICC Champions Trophy.

# Parnell is the second bowler to take five wickets in an innings for South Africa against New Zealand in ODIs. Ntini had achieved the feat (5-31) at Melbourne on February 6, 2002.

# For the second time in his ODI career, Parnell was adjudged the Man of the Match.

# During the course of his 28 off 28 balls, Mark Boucher (2016 runs + 201 dismissals in 126 ODIs) became the first wicketkeeper to register the double of 2000 runs and 200 dismissals in South Africa.

# New Zealand (214) recorded their highest total against South Africa in the ICC Champions Trophy, surpassing the 195 at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai on October 16, 2006.

# Ross Taylor made his 11th half-century in Limited-Overs Internationals - his first against South Africa in ODIs.

# South Africa's five-wicket triumph is their first over New Zealand in the ICC Champions Trophy.
