Thilan Tushara, who replaced Jayawardene, top-edged a short ball from Kyle Mills and was neatly taken by Martin Guptill at square-leg.

Kulasekara, continues to fight with a career-best 43. Sri Lanka was 247/8 in 44 overs, with still requiring 63 runs.
