World Sports Group (WSG) in a statement on Friday denied reports of receiving any kickbacks for IPL braodcast rights and slammed media reports for making such allegations, terming them as 'unfounded'.
"With reference to a story in a section of the media on Friday about allegations of impropriety by its executives or employees, WSG totally rejects unsubstantiated comments and innuendos about its business transactions and categorically states that they are unfounded and without substance.
"WSG denies reports that any executive or employee has received or admitted to receiving any monies other than in the normal course of business, or that WSG has used any funds received in connection with its sublicense of broadcast rights for inappropriate or unlawful activities," WSG said in the statement.
WSG also said that they have fully co-operated with Income Tax authorities.
"WSG has cooperated fully with the Income Tax authorities and will continue to do so. WSG has completed a round of meetings with officials and provided relevant documents. These show that the terms of the contracts between WSG and MSM are fully and properly detailed and demonstrate agreements reached in the normal course of business.
"WSG will be having another round of meetings with the Income Tax authorities to provide further clarifications," the statement read.
