Statistical highlights of Day 1 in the third and final Test between India and Sri Lanka in Colombo, on Tuesday.

# Since December 2009, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has lost seven tosses. Virender Sehwag, in Dhoni's absence, led India in the Chittagong Test in January 2010, and lost theĀ toss. India have now lost eight tosses in a row since December 2009.

# Pragyan Ojha (2/78) registered his best bowling figures in Sri Lanka, obliterating the 1 for 172 at Colombo (SSC) in the second Test of the present series.
