The Indian Cricket League on Thursday claimed it has got the go-ahead from the Delhi High Court to file case against the International Cricket Council and England and Wales Cricket Board in London, seeking damages for ostracising the 'rebel' league.
"An order has been passed in the Delhi High Court in the matter BCCI vs Essel Sports Pvt Ltd (Indian Cricket League) stating that ESPL is free to initiate action against ICC and ECB in London Courts," the ICL management said in a statement.
Earlier, BCCI said in a statement that the High Court has restrained the rebel league from filing a damage-seeking suit against the Indian board in UK courts.
