Opener Herschelle Gibbs along with four other One-day specialists of the South African team joined the Test side in Kolkata on Sunday, ahead of their three-match ODI series against India from February 21-27.

According to Michael Owen-Smith, media manager of the South African team, Gibbs, Charl Langeveldt, Loots Bosman, Albie Morkel and Roelof van der Merwe have joined the squad.

Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has made arrangements for their practice at Jadavpur University ground in Salt Lake.

"But it depends, they might prefer to take rest tomorrow," Owen-Smith said.

The Indian ODI squad will be announced on February 16.
