India cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni [ Images ] tied the knot with childhood friend Sakshi Singh Rawat on Sunday night in a private ceremony attended only by family members and close friends, including a few of his team-mates, at a farmhouse in Dehradun.
The 28-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman got engaged to Sakshi, a 23-year-old hotel management student, at a private ceremony on Saturday.
The wedding, at the picturesque Vishranti Resorts in Bidhauli, about 25km from Dehradun, was strictly a private affair with only 50-60 close relatives from the families of the bride and groom, along with some Indian players.
Harbhajan Singh [ Images ], Ashish Nehra [ Images ], RP Singh [ Images ], Suresh Raina [ Images ] and Rohit Sharma [ Images ] were among Dhoni's cricketer friends present at the wedding, according to a family member who attended the ceremony.
BCCI secretary N Srinivasan, owner of Chennai Super Kings [ Images ], which was led by Dhoni, and BCCI president Shashank Manohar [ Images ] also attended the ceremony.
The wedding had its share of glamour, with Dhoni's friend John Abraham [ Images ] and director-choreographer Farah Khan [ Images ] gracing the occasion.
