England batsman Ian Bell is in doubt for the Test series against Pakistan after fracturing a bone in his left foot in Saturday's One-day International against Bangladesh.

Bell was injured while fielding in England's second limited-overs encounter with Bangladesh in Bristol.

A statement from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) said the 28-year-old's injury would be reviewed at the start of next week.

It added: "At this stage it is unlikely Bell will be available for selection for the test series against Pakistan."

The four-test series begins on July 29, with two Twenty20 internationals and a one-day series to follow.

Bell had hit form in the first game of the one-day series against Bangladesh, scoring 84 as England took a 1-0 lead.

No decision has been made on his replacement for Monday's third and final match, the ECB said.
