Chennai Super Kings skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni will have to sit out of the IPL for 10 days due to an elbow injury, which he sustained during Tuesday's match against Kolkata Knight Riders.
Dhoni was hit by a rising Shane Bond delivery on his elbow, after which he seemed to be in a bit of bother.
Suresh Raina has been appointed the stand-in skipper.
Dhoni was at his belligerent best as Super Kings thrashed Knight Riders by a whopping margin of 55 runs at the Eden Gardens.
Dhoni changed the complexion of the match with a blazing innings of 66 from a mere 33 deliveries, which included three sixes and six boundaries.
The Chennai captain's quickfire partnership of 109 in 65 deliveries for the fourth wicket with S Badrinath (43 from 33 balls) saw the visitors hammer 83 in the last six overs that ultimately proved the turning point of the game.
Chennai Super Kings take on Delhi Daredevils at the Ferozshah Kotla next on March 19.
