# The fifth wicket partnership of 95 runs between Eoin Morgan and Luke Wright is England's highest partnership for any wicket against West Indies. Paul Collingwood and Michael Yardy had added 91 runs for the seventh wicket at the Oval on June 28, 2007.

Two of them have come against West Indies and on both the occasions England were at the losing end. West Indies had eliminated them from the 2009 World Cup in a similar scenario at the Oval on June 15, 2009.

# Darren Sammy won the Man of the Match award for the second time in succession. He had also won the award against Ireland on April 30th.
