- Morne Morkel (4-20) became the first South African to claim four wickets in a match twice. He had also returned 4 for 17 against New Zealand at Durban on 19-09-2007.

- Morkel is the fifth bowler in Twenty20 internationals to claim four wickets more than once after Pakistan's Umar Gul (4), Ireland's Alex Cusack, Sri Lanka's Ajantha Mendis and Pakistan's Shahid Afridi (2 each).
