Mahela Jayawardene's scorching unbeaten innings of 98 at a strike rate of 175 against West Indies has ensured that he stays the most valuable player (MVP) at the conclusion of the Super Eights matches in the ICC World Twenty20.
And with Sri Lanka now in the semi-finals there is a good chance that Jayawardene will become the player of the tournament.
The table below shows the top 50 players in the World T20 after the Super Eight phase.

There aren't too many Indian players visible on this list. There is Suresh Raina (3), Ashish Nehra (18), Mahendra Singh Dhoni (28), Rohit Sharma (46) and Yusuf Pathan (47) at the end of the list.
Where are the others? Where is Yuvraj Singh and Gautam Gambhir? And how many wickets did Harbhajan Singh take?
The table below answers this question. Note the low ranking of the Indian players who were expected to do much better.
