England pace bowler Chris Tremlett has been rewarded for his performances during the tour of Australia with an incremental contract for 2010-11.

"His return of 17 wickets from three Test matches in Australia was an outstanding effort and he can be very proud of the role he played in helping the team retain the Ashes," England and Wales Cricket Board national selector Geoff Miller said in a statement Tuesday.

"The selectors are delighted with the contribution Chris has made in both forms of the game this winter."

The 29-year-old, a surprise selection when he was named in the squad to tour Australia, qualifies for the contract through a points system based on appearances.

He has played three Ashes Tests and three one-day internationals after being recalled to the side following an injury to Stuart Broad.
