Statistical highlights from the match between South Africa and Ireland played in Kolkata on Tuesday

# Jean-Paul Duminy became the third South African batsman to be dismissed at 99 in ODIs -- the first two were Lance Klusener against Sri Lanka at Lahore on November 8, 1997 and Graeme Smith against Sri Lanka at Centurion on November 29, 2002.

# Duminy posted his maiden fifty at the World Cup, surpassing the 42 not out against West Indies at Delhi on February 24, 2011.

# Jacques Kallis took his World Cup run-aggregate to 1032 (ave.44.86) in 34 matches -- a tally bettered only by Herschelle Gibbs for South Africa (1067 at an average of 56.15 in five matches).

# Kallis is the second all-rounder after Sanath Jayasuriya to complete the double of 1,000 runs and 20 wickets.

# Duminy (99 off 103 balls) became the first South African and the second in the history of the World Cup to post a score of nervous 99. Adam Gilchrist was the first to record this against Sri Lanka at Centurion on March 7, 2003.

# Duminy, during the knock, completed his 200 runs in the present competition (204 in five matches at an average of 51.00).

# Duminy's 99 is his 13th half-century in ODIs apart from two hundreds.

# Duminy and Colin Ingram shared a stand of 87 for the sixth wicket -- South Africa's best for any wicket against Ireland in ODIs, bettering the 80 (unbroken) between Jacques Kallis and Ashwell Prince for the fourth wicket at Providence on April 3, 2007.

# The stand is the highest for South Africa for the sixth wicket at the World Cup, surpassing the 77 between Jacques Kallis and Shaun Pollock against Pakistan at Nottingham on June 5,1999.

# Johan Botha and Duminy shared a stand of 65 for the seventh wicket. The partnership is South Africa's second highest at the World Cup -- the highest being 66 between Cullinan and Pollock against Zimbabwe at Chelmsford on May 29, 1999. The 65-run stand is the highest for the seventh wicket for South Africa against Ireland in ODIs.

# Robin Peterson (3/32) produced his second best bowling performance in ODIs, behind 3 for 22 against England at Chennai on March 6, 2011.

# Peterson became the third South African to capture 10 wickets or more in the present edition of the World Cup, joining Imran Tahir (11) and Dale Steyn (10).

# Morne van Wyk (42 + 4 dismissals) became the fourth wicketkeeper to make a 40-plus and effect four dismissals in the same World Cup match, joining Ridley Jacobs, Kumar Sangakkara and Brad Haddin.

# Jacobs had achieved the distinction in 1999 while Sangakkara, Haddin and Wyk registered the double in 2011.

# South Africa's 131-run win is their second largest by runs margin at the World Cup, next only to the 231-run win against Netherlands at Mohali on March 3, 2011.

# The 131-run loss registered by Ireland is their largest by runs margin at the World Cup, surpassing the 129-run defeat to New Zealand on April 9, 2007.

# Duminy was adjudged the Man of the Match for the sixth time in ODIs -- his first at the World Cup.

# Morne Morkel (3/33) produced his best bowling figures at the World Cup, eclipsing the two for 16 against England at Chennai on March 6, 2011.

# Ireland (141) registered their fourth lowest score at the World Cup, next only to the 77 against Sri Lanka at St George's on April 18, 2007, 91 against Australia at Bridgetown on April 13, 2007 and 134 against New Zealand at Providence on April 9, 2007

# South Africa (272/7) recorded their highest total against Ireland in ODIs, obliterating the 173 for four at Belfast on June 24, 2007.

# Jean-Paul Duminy is averaging 66.88 for the winning cause -- 1739 in 50 matches, including two hundreds and eleven fifties.
