A staunch critic of the Decision Review System, the Board of Control for Cricket in India says it will oppose the ICC Cricket Committee's recommendation for the controversial innovation's introduction in all Test matches when the matter comes up before the governing body's executive board next month.

The ICC Cricket Committee, after reviewing the use of the DRS in a two-day meeting in London, recommended that the system be used in all Test matches.

- DRS recommended for all Tests

It also recommended that DRS should be used in ODI and Twenty20 series, with each side allowed one unsuccessful review per innings.

Decision reviewThe DRS, which has been used in Test cricket since 2009 and over the past two years has featured in 31 matches, currently allows each side two unsuccessful reviews per innings.

"The committee's recommendation that the DRS should be used in all formats of the game confirms two key conclusions: it shows the group's confidence in the system and it also highlights the committee's view that it does aid the umpires in making correct decisions," ICC Cricket Committee chairman Clive Lloyd had said.

But the BCCI, which has opposed the system since its inception, plans to fight it in the ICC executive board meeting next month too.

"We have always been against DRS and there is no change in our stance. We will oppose it when it comes up for discussion in the executive board meeting," a top BCCI official said.

The DRS has also been opposed by India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who feels technology should be brought in only if it can ensure 100 per cent accuracy.
