Both the matches on Monday's programme in the Champions League T20 tournament in Ahmedabad were washed out.
The day's first match, between Highveld Lions and Perth Scorchers, was abandoned without a ball being bowled after Highveld Lions skipper Alviro Petersen won the toss and opted to bowl at the Sardar Patel stadium.
The match failed to get underway as heavy rain lashed the city soon after the coin was tossed.
Within ten minutes the ground was water-logged.
It continued to pour and the second fixture between Mumbai Indians and Otago Volts was forced to be called off.
The teams got a point each from the match.
Mumbai Indians lost their opening match to Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets, while it was the opening match for South Africa's Highveld Lions and Australia's Perth Scorchers.
